The Harlem Business Alliance Business Plan Competition seeks to cultivate business concepts that will lead to the development of new enterprises and expansion of existing businesses within Upper Manhattan (north of 110th Street)
Purpose:
The Harlem Business Alliance (HBA) Business Plan Competition seeks to cultivate original business concepts that will lead to the development of new enterprises and expansion of existing businesses within Upper Manhattan (north of 110th Street).
Eligibility Requirements:
· You must be 18 years or older, a legal resident or US citizen;
· An Upper Manhattan resident living above 110th Street who is interested in opening a for-profit start-up business in Harlem; or
· An owner of an existing for-profit business located in Upper Manhattan with revenues under $500,000.
Award:
· Grand Cash Prize of $5,000
· Runner-up will receive personal consultation sessions valued at nearly $2,500 with celebrated strategist to the Stars, Karen Taylor Bass, The PR Expert and an experienced alumni or faculty practitioner with Columbia Business School’s Entrepreneurship Center.
