  • 1. Biggest Day of Political Action EVER

And we will be participating by GREENING a bar!! As you know Green & Tonic has partnered with Carrotmob - a consumer activist group - to organize a competition to green a bar for 350.org "Day of Action" to fight climate change tomorrow (Oct. 24th.)

The winner of the competition was Shotwell's (20th & Shotwell's) with a bid of 25%. They will receive $516 raised from our pub crawl and have agreed to contribute 25% of their sales from the event to making green changes. The idea is we will "mob" Shotwell's on the 24th to patronize their establishment and reward them for their commitment to going green.

That means the more of you that come out in support, the more changes they will be able to make!!!! You have the power to make a difference through your purchase decisions. Why go out and drink somewhere just for the heck of it when you can go drink with a purpose?

    Shotwell's Carrotmob
    Date: Saturday, October 24th
    Time: 6pm-9pm
    Location: Shotwell's
    3349 20th St (@ Shotwell)
    San Francisco, CA 94110

As part of the 350.org "Day of Action", our goal is to have mobbers send out 350 messages or tweets to get as many supporters out as we can! Please either forward this message to all of your friends or if you are a tweeter, send the following:

"Join Green & Tonic for our Carrotmob at Shotwell's on October 24th from 6pm-9m! Drink with a purpose and use your consumer activism to help them go green! http://tinyurl.com/yf3gbbv"

    Thanks and see you there!!!

  • 2. Artfulchange.org Benefit Concert at your Local Bar!

350.org is supporting events all over the world on October 24th (Day of Action) to get information out about climate change. In addition to our event at Shotwell's, we have partnered with Artfulchange.org to help them arrange more viewings of the benefit concert they organized.

We have asked some of our favorite SF bars to show their commitment to fighting climate change by providing a viewing of the concert at their establishments tomorrow night. The proceeds from the concert will go to the Energy Action Coalition.
