3. Updates on Doc's Clock & Casanova
Thanks to those of you who made it out to last year's Green & Tonic event at Doc's Clock. Because of your support, Doc's Clock is now a green certified business! The money raised from our event helped Doc's buy a low-flow urinal and compostable products. Read all about it here.
Our fundraiser in April 2008 for Casanova Lounge resulted in Casanova now diverting approximately 10,000 gallons of compostable waste, and over 6,000 gallons of recyclables from the landfill per year (equivalent to a 7 ft deep swimming pool with a 20 ft diameter). Imagine if all the bars on the block did the same! Now imagine the whole city!!
4. Green & Tonic Tip of the Month
When it comes to choosing between draft, bottled, and canned beer go for draft beer. Draft beer kegs are returnable, refillable and recyclable!!
