    Hi,
    Do you want to create the mobile services of the future and have the chance of grabbing lots of prizes while doing it? What are you waiting for?!

    In one week you have to submit your Mobile Business Idea descriptions for Competition Round 1. Deadline is before midnight on the 22nd of February 2009. Prizes: 5 x SEK 5.000 (about USD 600)

    Your first challenge is to come up with fresh ideas for new mobile services. The jury will announce the winners judging from four base criteria: creativity, usability, market potential and level of innovation.

    In the first round of the competition you will have to submit a 2 page description of a new idea, plus sketches or technical specifications (in English). Upload your PDF at www.mobilecup.se or by following the instructions below.

    You may compete with and submit up to 5 separate Business Ideas!

    The following main categories will be open for submissions:

    - advertising
    - business, e-commerce and ticketing
    - entertainment (art, games, music and sports)
    - news, media and e-learning
    - social networking

    Enter your idea in the category where you think it fits best.

    Submit instructions:

    You can submit your entry at submit@mobilecup.se. You have to specifiy the following:

    1 user name (user name attained at registration)
    2 category (visit Rules and Guidelines for information at www.handshake.se/mobilecup)
    3 project name (choose and use a name for your project)
    4 round (specify which competition round or rounds your entry applies to)
    5 participants (specify the names and email of all participants)


    New cool mobile service from Google
    Google is about to launch its new service Latitude. With it you are able to track your friends through Google Maps – or rather their mobile phones. But there is no way of sneaking up on your non-suspecting friends or your partner – they need to accept you first. Also there is an alternative to be invisible temporarily or not be seen by a certain person. And you don’t have to worry about Google saving the information – as soon as you move your previous position is forgotten immediately by the system. check it out: http://www.google.com/latitude/intro.html

    Some really great location-aware mobile services are out there now. But still there are plenty of ways to incorporate the technology. Can you think of any?

    Vill du skapa framtidens mobiltjänster och samtidigt ha en chans att vinna pris i Mobile Cup? Vad väntar du på?!

    Om en vecka är det dags att skicka in dina idebeskrivningar för tävlingsrunda 1. Deadline är innan midnatt den 22 februari 2009. Priser: 5 X 5.000 Kronor

    Din utmaning är att hitta på roliga, innovativa idéer till nya mobiltjänster. Juryn kommer utse vinnarna från följande kriterier: kreativitet, användbarhet, marknadspotential och idéhöjd - hur nyskapande idén är.

    I tävlingsrunda 1 ska du skicka in en 2-sidig beskrivning av din nya idé, plus eventuella bilagor med bilder eller teknisk beskrivning. Tävlingsspråket är engelska, så alla bidrag du skickar in måste vara skrivna på engelska. Ladda upp dina tävlingsbidrag (helst som PDF) på www.mobilecup.se eller genom att följa instruktionerna nedan.

    Du får tävla med upp till 5 olika idéer i tävlingen så att du har chans att vinna flera priser!

    Följande kategorier är öppna för tävlingsbidrag:

    - reklam och annonsering
    - business, e-commerce och betalningslösningar
    - underhållning (t.ex. konst, spel, musik och sport)
    - nyheter, media och e-learning
    - sociala nätverk

    Anmäl dina tävlingsbidrag i respektive kategori där du tycker att de passar bäst.

    Instruktioner för inlämning av tävlingsbidrag:

    Skicka in dina bidrag via mail till submit@mobilecup.se. Du måste ange följande i mailet:

    1 Användarnamn (användarnamn får du när du registrerar dig på tävlingshemsidan www.mobilecup.se)
    2 Tävliningskategori (Anmäl dina tävlingsbidrag i respektive kategori där du tycker att de passar bäst. Läs mer under "Rules and Guidelines" på www.handshake.se/mobilecup)
    3 Namn på tävlingsbidraget
    4 Tävlingsomgång (nu i februari så gäller inlämningen tävlingsrunda 1)
    5 Deltagare (om du tävlar i lag, ange dina lagmedlemmars namn och email-adresser)

    Glöm inte att bifoga PDF:n med ditt tävlingsbidrag.
    Om du skickar in flera tävlingsbidrag, så skicka endast in ett tävlingsidrag i varje email.


    Ny häftig mobiltjänst från Google:
    Google introducerar sin nya mobiltjänst Google Latitude. Med den är det möjligt att hålla reda på och hitta dina vänner via Google Maps, eller snarare deras mobiltelefoner. Men det går inte att smyga sig på sina vänner utan att de vet om det, de måste först ha godkänt det. Man kan också göra sig tillfälligt osynlig eller inte synas alls för vissa personer.     Det finns många suveräna positionsbaserade mobiltjänster redan nu. Men fortfarande finns det många nya användningsområden för tekniken. Kan du komma på någon idé till ett nytt smart användningsområde? Då har du kanske en bra idé till tävlingen!
