Education Managers,
We will hold a Training Session to go over the judging call process THURSDAY, JUNE 17 at 10am PDT. The call in number is: (605) 475-4001 with Participant Access Code: 181621#

2. Prepare for the Judging Call
1. Determine who will be moderating the judging call - this will be the person who will keep the process on track and organize the discussion.
2. Be ready to keep the time to a max. of two hours
3. Have a clearly identified profile of the winners you are looking for from the judges and make sure the judges understand that they are choosing the semi finalist group, not the rankings.
4. Here is the typical agenda:
- 10 min: intro to competition, ground rules, judges backgrounds
- 25 min: choose top 1/3
- 25 min: choose bottom 1/3 and eliminate as many as possible
- 50 min: debate on the remaining 1/3 (=the ones with highest standard
deviation)
- 10 min: wrap up, review and agree on the final list of semifinalists
