3. Lithuanian Ideas Forum 2011
Lithuanian Ideas Forum 2011 ( www.cu-ls.org/lif-en ) is a first interactive event of its kind in Cambridge which bring together international students from Cambridge University and Lithuanians studying in most prestigious UK universities as well as high achieving professionals from London to analyse political, business and cultural strategies that could help Lithuania move towards leadership among small EU states. Event is going to be run in English and no knowledge about Lithuania will not be a disadvantage at all since most brilliant ideas come from people who are not affected by "background" information.
Five eminent speakers: Dr. Vladas Lasas (serial entrepreneur and co-founder of Carbon War Room), Jon Bradford (managing director of Springboard Cambridge), Jack Lang (serial entrepreneur, business angel and co-founder of Artimi), Laura Dzelzyte (founder of Green Index and advisor to the Minister of Environment in Lithuanian Republic) and Dalia Venslovaite (director of Global Lithuanian Leaders) will share their views and experience.
The talks will be followed by three subject workshops, whereby participants will have a chance to engage in a discussion with one another and offer their views. The conference is suited for those with little or no knowledge of Lithuania and for those with an active interest in it.
Registration: http://lif2011.eventbrite.com/
All CUTEC members are strongly encouraged to attend this event in order to have an opportunity to look at the way a conference (similar to TVC, however smaller in scale) should be organised.
