  • 5. Silicon Valley Comes to Cambridge

There is nothing like meeting a dozen or so iconic serial entrepreneurs to inspire you to set up or join a start-up after graduation. Come find out why joining a start-up is SO much more
worthwhile than going into consulting or banking after graduation.

One of the advantages of being at Cambridge University is that we have access to the leading entrepreneurs who have founded the companies that rule the world.

A highlight of our entrepreneurial year is the Silicon Valley Comes to Cambridge Summit, scheduled for 19, 20th November 2009 here in Cambridge. The summit, powered by NESTA and organised by CfEL, CUE, CUTEC and MBA Ventures promises to be an extraordinary gathering of leading minds from around the world, including students, alumni,
faculty, and special invited guests. A number of serial entrepreneurs from Cambridge and Silicon Valley have assembled a timely and thought-provoking program that is sure to generate lively discussion on the important issues of how to best build or join the companies that will change the world as we know it today.

Come meet with Iconic entrepreneurs, including Reid Hoffman (LinkedIn), Peter Thiel (Paypal), Biz Stone (Twitter), Caterina Fake (Flickr) and investors such as Allen Morgan (Mayfield) and Brett Bullington (Angel). Activities include an evening debate at the
Cambridge Union on the 19th and Masterclasses for students at the Judge Business School on the 20th.
