Hopefully this will help give you some direction!
The Center for Entrepreneurship used to have a business plan competition before they implemented the Fast Pitch Competition.
I think that it would still be great! I also think that there is an abundance of tasks that need to take place in order for this to happen:
1. What is the prize?
2. Who will judge the competitions? ( I will be willing to to this but more that one "qualified" judge will be necessary?
3. How are you going to create an interest...class announcements? flyers? etc.
4. What is the time frame? If you want to do it next quarter what is the start and finish dates?
5. Will their be instructors/mentors available to provide guidance for the competitors?
I think that there are several things that need to be thought through. It might be a good idea for you are some of the group members to speak to Mike and get his feedback, I know that with him having done this in the past he has a lot of information that may be of use to you.
winter quarter business plan competition.
