1. Kauffman presents the "2012 State of Entrepreneurship"
Watch Live Webcast Tomorrow
We thought it would be interesting to learn what is newsworthy about Entrepreneurship that perhaps all of you could share as you CELEBRATE National Entrepreneurship Week Feb 18 - 25. Here is the information I received today.
Kauffman Foundation's 2012 State of Entrepreneurship Address
to Present Solutions for Spurring Economic Growth
and Creating Jobs at the State Level
Address and panel discussion will be streamed online live from the National Press Club
in Washington at noon EST on Feb. 9, 2012
As the U.S. enters an election year and decision-making in Washington continues to stagnate, policymakers and citizens are asking what state governments can do to encourage long-term economic growth and create jobs without emptying state coffers.
Amid this challenge, the Kauffman Foundation is convening the third annual State of Entrepreneurship Address to explore methods of promoting entrepreneurship, sparking innovation, and accelerating economic growth through low-cost changes in state law and policy.
The event will include an address by Benno C. Schmidt, Kauffman Foundation trustee and interim president, as well as remarks from Dave Heineman, Governor of Nebraska and chair of the National Governors Association. After a brief break, a panel discussion will follow featuring Jack Markell, Governor of Delaware and vice chair of the National Governors Association, as well as other state policy experts.
