  • 1. Do You "See" Future Entrepreneurs in your Classroom?

Yes, that's a silly question....who can possibly see the future Michael Dell or Russell Simmons sitting in that schoolroom! But can your students see themselves that way?

"Future CEO Stars" is a magazine designed to open the eyes of all of your students to the possibilities of a career as an entrepreneur. The SEPTEMBER issue is now online at http://www.fcsmag.com with stories written by student entrepreneurs about their entrepreneurial ventures. They are taking the "baby steps" to provide the experiences that empower them to expand their career possibilities.

The CHALLENGE for teachers is to encourage students to read the stories and "think" about how they might do the same....or even better! This year we have provided a monthly Teacher's Guide containing problem-based activities for individual stories in the magazine. The Guides for August and September are on the magazine website too. http://www.futureceostars.com/node/6

Help your students "think" about these stories by assigning the activities....perhaps even for extra credit. Because the magazine is free online you can have everyone read it on your Smart Board or assign it to be read outside class on personal computers.

Encourage the use of the magazine's social networks (FaceBook, Twitter, and YouTube) to connect with other entrepreneurship-focused young people, discuss these student experiences, and even make contacts to sell their own products. Link directly from the website. We would really like to hear what your students think too.

Future CEO Stars is a great resource to help expand the minds of future entrepreneurs!

The FORUM is just about a month away. Have you checked the great program we have scheduled?

Remember that the special Early-Bird rate was extended for YouNoodle readers until tomorrow, September 30. Just type "YouNoodle" on your address line on the registration form. We will accept payment anytime before the week of the conference. And airfares are still looking good to Norfolk or Newport News.

Don't miss this opportunity to network with the leaders in the field and reinforce your belief in the opportunities you are providing for your students.
