"Better Positioning through Entrepreneurship"
28th Annual Entrepreneurship Forum - Pre-Conference Workshop
Saturday, November 13, 2010 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Looking for ways to create student demand? Need to strengthen the perception of your business administration program? Join veteran teachers and national curriculum experts in this pre-conference workshop as they look at strategies for building a research-based program of study focused on entrepreneurship. They’ll work with you to get beyond “be-the-boss” dreams and “end-of-the-year” time fillers as they help you learn to balance the creative, risk-taking adventures of entrepreneurship with the strategic management and financial standards critical for getting beyond the dream.
Leave this session with hands-on experiences and a step-by-step process for creating a high school program-of-study that meets Perkins requirements as it helps you add excitement to your overall program. Discussion topics will focus on standards-based program-of-study design, instructional context, and project-based approaches to building student interest – and more.
