The 5th Annual National Entrepreneurship Week celebration is already underway in many locations around the US. We invite each of you to show your commitment to the role of entrepreneurship education nationwide by holding some kind of event or activity wherever you are during the WEEK. Suggestions include:

** Nominate an outstanding local entrepreneur . . . It's so easy to fill out the form on our website at http://www.entre-week.org/honor-roll/ We will post your nomination with a press release promoting your program and the outstanding entrepreneur ....great for local publicity opportunities.

** Use the "20 Questions for All Americans" to see who can demonstrate their ENTREPRENEURIAL LITERACY. Have some fun with the Genius Certificates in the process. http://www.entre-week.org/20-questions/questions

** Send your state leadership team coordinator pictures (with captions), stories, news releases, and scheduled events year round to post on your STATE page. Copy the Consortium so we can find ways to publicize your events too. Find your state leaders at http://www.entre-week.org/leaders/state-leadership-teams

IT TAKES 50 ENTREPRENEURIAL STATES TO MAKE AN ENTREPRENEURIAL NATION!

  • 2. TUNE INTO THE NATIONAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP WEEK LAUNCH!

The "official launch" for National Entrepreneurship Week will be celebrated on Friday, February 18, as we join national entrepreneurship leaders to honor American entrepreneurs and the programs that prepare the youth and adults for their contributions to our economy.

Cathy Ashmore will be featured as she announces the 5th Annual National Entrepreneurship Week, February 19 - 26, 2011 at the Future of Entrepreneurship Education SUMMIT in Orlando, FL. On February 18, you can access the live streaming VIDEO of the "National Entrepreneurship Week LAUNCH" online at http://www.feesummit.com/ from 1:35 - 1:45 PM, EST. Or you can access the whole program anytime during the day on Friday from 9:40 AM until 9:00 PM. If you miss the live program we will post some of the pertinent video on the National Entrepreneurship Week website . http://www.entre-week.org . You are invited to use it anytime for your entrepreneurship celebration events or other purposes.

This is an amazing opportunity for us and we hope that you will take part in some, if not all, of the event virtually.

The Future of Entrepreneurship Education Summit is an invite-only event for 130 of the world’s top leaders in the entrepreneurship field from government, media, foundations, corporations and non-profit organizations happening on February 18th. Sample presenters include the founders of the Priceline.com and redbox, members of the White House, and eight presidents of the top entrepreneurship education foundations.

    These leaders are gathering to:
    • Discuss where the entrepreneurship education field is going
    • Share their largest lessons learned
    • Showcase new innovations and initiatives
    • Discuss where funding will come from in the future
    This is your opportunity to:
    • Be ahead of the entrepreneurship education curve
    • Maximize your organization’s fundraising capabilities
    • Be in the most advantageous position possible during these uncertain times
