Every former keyboarding student can finish that one..."Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country".
Just 6 more weeks before we celebrate NATIONAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP WEEK! With the unemployment rate at 10% and holding we couldn't pick a better time to feature our entrepreneurs in every state. And we need to connect them (and everyone else) to the great programs in our schools and community that provide "ENTREPRENEURIAL LITERACY FOR EVERYONE".
* Use the "20 QUESTIONS FOR ALL AMERICANS" to enlighten others about what it means to be an entrepreneur ... so many different ways are suggested. And a "GENIUS" certificate for you to award as you choose! Think about how this might attract the media too!
* Order "National Entrepreneurship Week" long sleeve t-shirts to wear in February....and all year long. Great prizes for competitions! Deadline for orders is January 22. BUT NOTE.....this is because we have to order small and medium shirts. All other sizes are still available in limited quantities. Dress for success for only $15! Place your orders with safe credit card processing using the PAY-SITE at http://pay.entre-ed.org/
* EVERY STATE HAS A CHANCE TO SHINE.... Our new US Map on the "NEW" website provides each of you a way to promote your programs YEAR-ROUND. Each state has a listed coordinator who will post your stories, pictures, and program links if you will just send "entrepreneurship information" to them. If you cannot reach them you could also send information to the Consortium. OUR GOAL IS TO PROVIDE A CENTRAL LOCATION TO PROMOTE WHAT IS HAPPENING NATIONWIDE!
* HOT TOPICS.... Our homepage features articles you can download and share year round. We have just released the CONSORTIUM's strategy proposal for 2010 entitled:
"CAREER READY WITH ENTREPRENEURSHIP....a Key 21st Century Skill!
A Call for Entrepreneurial "GENIUSES" for the Workplace"
(Note the answer to one of the 20 Questions is provided here!)
* ACTE is once again identifying National Entrepreneurship Week, the last week of February 2010, as a part of Career and Technical Education Month, February 2010. We hope you are doing the same.
* MARKETING MATERIALS.... Check the website for copies of the "NEW" logo and banner graphics to use with your events. We have provided templates for posters, silly signs, press releases, PowerPoints, government proclamations, and resources that are yours to copy.
* GOVERNORS' PROCLAMATIONS .... State leaders are seeking support resolutions from governors, legislators, mayors etc. supporting National Entrepreneurship Week that we will post on the "NEW" site for you to download and use too. Maine already has their proclamation posted for 2010!
* GOOGLE is capturing all of your National Entrepreneurship Week Announcements ... just do a search on National Entrepreneurship Week 2010 and see what you get. Congratulations to ME, DE, CO, NE, WI, and MI that have already had their "NEW 2010" announcements listed on Google.
