We will keep you advised when we hear more, but in the meantime we are encouraging all of you to share your accomplishments.

**** ACTIVITIES FOR THE CLASSROOM OR PUBLIC EVENTS

Here are some new activities you can adapt/adopt and use in your school, church, community, or family to engage people in the idea of entrepreneurship as a career path, a side job, a hobby, an idea that can be an opportunity to engage people to think entrepreneurially. http://www.entre-week.org/new-activities/ideas

    1. THE POWER OF FREE ENTERPRISE: Compare how people lived under Communism when Poland was part of the Warsaw Pact before 1990 versus what we take for granted in the US every day. Consider the American foundations....."Free Enterprise is a system of natural liberty, led by an invisible hand" It involves four major freedoms....• The RIGHT to BUY• the RIGHT to SELL• the RIGHT to TRY• the RIGHT to FAIL (Adam Smith)

    2. WHAT IS A JOB? - Let's Discuss...WHAT ARE YOUR CHOICES?
What percent of American businesses have NO EMPLOYEES? How does this compare with the number of Americans who are UNEMPLOYED? Discuss the ideas and information in this activity with your students and colleagues.

    3. Nebraska Department of Education's Gregg Christensen provided these Targeted Activities for National Entrepreneurship Week that can be adapted for 2012.
Practicing Postive PR and Publicity and the Press - Practice Makes Perfect
Send us your great ideas to post on our website for others to use.

**** BE SURE TO NOMINATE A LOCAL ENTREPRENEUR
The National Honor Roll for American Entrepreneurs is an ongoing opportunity to thank your local entrepreneurs that contribute to your economy and perhaps help your future young entrepreneurs in the classroom. Add your nominee to those nominated last year ....and be sure the local press knows about your awardee. Details at http://www.entre-week.org/honor-roll/
