  • 1. WHY DO EDUCATORS EVERYWHERE ATTEND THE FORUM?

    Entrepreneurship FORUM participants tell us.....

    "As a teacher, we do not have the chance to improve our skills at very many "interesting" conferences. This Forum is the highlight of the year and gives me the little pat on the back and encouragement that I need to dive in for another year."

    "The first year was invaluable and provided me with a number of successful ideas and materials to use in my classroom. It also allowed me to network with one of the most enthusiastic groups of educators I have ever been associated with, some of whom I have since been in regular contact with. I plan to come back."

    Do you have an entrepreneurship program that your students love? that the parents appreciate? that the school is proud of? that is nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit now and for the future of your community?

    We want to hear from you as a presenter at the 27th Annual Entrepreneurship Education FORUM in Norfolk, VA, November 6 - 10, 2009.

    We know this is a VERY BUSY time of year, so have extended the deadline for FORUM presenter proposals until May 15, 2009. We want to be sure busy educators have time to send us this very short proposal as described in the Call for Programs <http://www.entre-ed.org/_network/call2009.htm>. DON'T MISS IT!

    The Consortium Online Database, ENTREPRENEURSHIP EVERYWHERE, is a fantastic resource for anyone interested in learning about how entrepreneurship is taught as a lifelong learning process. Have you ever checked it out on our website?

    For over 10 years we have been providing this database, with ARC as our original sponsor. We are fortunate to have so many in our network who provide us with information about their programs as part of their applications for conference presentations and scholarships. We are currently working to update the database and would appreciate your help.

    PLEASE FIND YOUR ORGANIZATION AND CHECK IT OUT FOR ACCURACY. If your organization isn't listed, let's get your profile added. Just follow the format and send me a word file with your program description and features.

    For example, if you put "lifelong entrepreneurship education" into a Google search you mostly will find the Consortium and our members. Try also "National Entrepreneurship Week", "entrepreneurship education conference", "entrepreneurship advocates", "entrepreneurship education standards", etc.
