  • Key Dates for the 2011-2012 Big Bang! Competition

    Dear Big Bang! Community and Interested Competitors:

    On behalf of the UC Davis Center for Entrepreneurship and the Big Bang! Business Plan Competition committee, following are dates and deadlines for this year's Big Bang! Business Plan Competition.

    How to Find a Team:

    If you are looking for team members or looking to join a team, come to the Contestant Mixer on November 2. This is your opportunity to meet other potential team members. Complete the "Looking for a Team" form on our website, to help us match you with interested team members.

    Teams are judged based on submitted business summaries and business plans, as well as presentations during the Little Bang and Semi-Finalist rounds. A panel of expert entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, angel investors, industry executives and service providers judge the business plans and presentations, act as mentors, and provide valuable feedback to the teams.

    The competition is designed for UC Davis students, alumni, staff and faculty to collaborate, develop and test their business vision and plans. Teams must include at least one current affiliate from UC Davis (staff, student, faculty, or Center for Entrepreneurship alumni).

    February 15: Team Registration and Business Summaries Due Before Midnight
    March 29: Little Bang Presentations Due Before Midnight
    April TBD: Little Bang Pitch Presentations
    April 27: Business Plans Due Before Midnight
    May 11: Semi-Finals
    May 24: Big Bang! Final Awards and Ceremony
