  • Big Bang! Finance Workshop is Tonight at 6PM!

    Join us tonight for the final Big Bang Workshop of 2010. Our speaker is David Richardson of DLA Piper. The workshop will be focused on the finances of your startup business. Learn how to develop a financial model for your company and how start ups go about acquiring venture funding. Light refreshments will be provided.

    About David Richardson:
    David is an associate in the Sacramento office of the international law firm of DLA Piper LLP (US). His practice focuses on the representation of high-growth technology companies and investors in venture capital financings and merger and acquisition transactions.

    Over the past several years David has assisted with more than 50 transactions valued at approximately $500 million. Some of the local companies David has worked with include Bloo Solar, a nanotechnology solar company and 2005 Big Bang participant that has raised $10.8 million in venture capital financing. David also assisted Schilling Robotics, a Davis based company that produces deep-sea robots for oil exploration in a $116 million financing by FMC Technologies.

    David is a graduate of the UC Davis School of Law where he was Editor in Chief of the law Review. Before returning to school to pursue his law degree David had a prior career in the publishing field working as an editor for Prima Communications which was sold to Random House in 2001.
