    Join us a week from this Wed for the final Big Bang Workshop of 2009. The workshop will be focused on the finances of your startup business. Learn how to develop a financial model for your company and how start ups go about acquiring venture funding. Light refreshments will be provided.

    Some of the featured ideas for this week are…

    1) Hari Kommaraju – My idea is to make organic and natural personal care products cheaper for customers. Also, planning to donate 10 to 15% of profits to causes related to organic and natural products advocacy, development etc.

    2) Daniel Levin - A brain wave assisted alertness monitor that uses EEG data and a patented algorithm - US Patent No. 6,167,298. Primary focus is to improve safety and reduce fatigue related accidents in the transportation industry.

    Things to remember when registering…

    1) Designate a TEAM LEAD.
    This person is the main contact for your team and the person who will be responsible for all official communications. This person should add bigbang@ucdavis.edu to their email list to ensure that all communications are received.

    2) One member must have UC Davis Affiliation
    At least one active member of the team must have a valid UC Davis affiliation. This member may be an alum or current student, faculty, or staff member.

    3) Note all important contest dates
    Make sure to read through the complete list of events and deadline dates at the Big Bang! EVENTS PAGE. The dates highlighted in red are deadline dates in which documents must be submitted. (IN AN EFFORT FOR FAIRNESS, NO LATE SUBMSSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED). Other important dates are the “Little Bang pitch event” and the “Big Bang! Final event” in which qualified teams will be required to attend and present their business idea. Attendance is mandatory to be considered for prize money and awards.
