  • 1. Big Bang! Marketing Workshop THIS WED!!

    Please plan to join the Big Bang! tomorrow night, Wednesday Nov 18th from 6pm - 8pm at the Big Bang! Marketing Workshop. This event will be held in RM 1302 of Gallagher Hall on the UC Davis Campus. The presenter will review general market research strategies for your team’s startup business, as well as, issues to consider when developing a marketing plan for your new business venture. Light refreshments will be provided.

  • 2. TEAM FINDER SPREADSHEET IS NOW ONLINE

    If you are looking for a team or need to get some additional teammates for your group, please visit our online team finder spreadsheet. Visit the PARTICIPATION PAGE. participation page at our website and click on the “find a team member” tab at the lower right hand porition of the screen. You will see a list of contacts and their potential ideas or the skills they can bring to your team. Be sure to check back weekly as this spreadsheet will be updated as more and more contestants enter our online database.

    Some of the featured ideas for this week are…

    1) PriceArc - A an online directory of offers, such as lawyers offering to incorporate a business, therapists specializing in substance abuse, or graphic artists offering to design logos.

    2) Twaller.com - The goal is to connect travelers in real time by giving them information about events in a city/place where they are traveling.

  • 3. SEA Event Sat Nov 21st- RSVP NOW (Limited Slots Available)

    As part of the Big Bang!’s partnership with the Sacramento Entrepreneurship Academy, 10 members of the Big Bang! community will be able to attend each of the upcoming SEA events free of charge. The final SEA event of the series will be held this Saturday Nov 21st and will be a session focused on startup finance – How to finance your business and how to create financial projections.

    Events are held on the CSUS campus in Riverside Hall, Room 1008 and are from 830am-1230pm. If you are interested in attending, RSVP NOW as limited slots are available (please include “BIG BANG/SEA NOV21st RSVP” in the email subject line)

  • 4. SACRAMENTO STATE GLOBAL ENTREPRENEURS WEEK – This Week!!

    Our partners in the Sacramento Association of Collegiate Entrepreneurs (S.A.C.E.) will be hosting series on events the week of Nov 16th through Nov 20th with the goal of inspiring innovation and spire entrepreneurship in the Sacramento region. The events are part of Global Entrepreneur’s Week and will be held at various location in Sacramento. The events vary from keynote speaker and panel events to social mixers, as well as, a business elevator pitch competition with a chance to win prize money and a chance to enter into the UC Davis Big Bang! business plan competition!
