    Watch the BigBang! Business Plan Competition video on Youtube and spread the word on how we can help new companies get started, get on their feet, find the early funding, and the early connections to be effective. It's the development of an entrepreneurial culture where you meet those who can help you turn your ideas into action.

  • 2. Business Plan Pitch Workshop

    Date: March 10th, 2010
    Time: 6-8pm
    Place: Gallagher Hall 1213

    This event will give contestants a background on how to effectively pitch a business to a panel of venture capitalists. The presentation will include what to include in a pitch, how to frame a business pitch and how to find the right sources of funding. Light refreshments will be provided.

  • 3. Little Bang

    Date: March 31th, 2010
    Time: TBA
    Place: Kemper Hall

    See Big Bang! contestant teams do their first formal public pitch presentations with the chance to get into the Big Bang! semifinals and a $500 prize to each semifinalist team on the line.

  • 4. Competition Timeline and Rules

    Please note the competition timeline and rules going forward (http://bigbang.gsm.ucdavis.edu/rules.php)

    This year's competition is slightly different from past years:

    1. Teams are required to submit a business summary (deadline was last week).
    2. The next step is to advance to the Little Bang event.
    3. The top ten advancing teams from Little Bang will need to submit a formal business plan.
    4. Five finalists will be selected to present at the BigBang! final presentation.
    5. The winner will be announced at the end of the final presentation.
