    Exergy Technologies

I am developing low-carbon engine technologies for transportation: combining low-carbon fuels with high-efficiency. The particular area of research is hyperbar spark-ignition compound engines. I developed new cycle and flow technologies that allow spark-ignition engines to run with intake manifold pressures an order of magnitude higher than conventional gasoline engines without knock; and operate near peak efficiency during light-load operation, where most transportation fuel is consumed. The technologies are ideally suited for natural gas and ethanol fuels, but are also suited for gasoline, which makes the market opportunity extraordinary. Light-load and net operating efficiencies are about 50% higher than current state-of-the-art.

I graduated with honors in mechanical engineering with a minor in business. I’ve worked in engineering and construction project management for several years, for HP as a thermal and materials engineer, and for PCG in new venture and organizational behavior business consulting in Eastern Europe. I'm a member of SARTA, Techcoire and the VentureStart program, and have attended dozens of venture seminars down in Silicon Valley over the last few years. I also presented at the CleanStart Showcase this year in Sacramento.
