  • 2. Mapiz

    Mapiz is a real time location-based service for tracking bus arrival time and connecting people in proximity.

  • 3. Nomad

    Nomad Ventures has patented a process for manufacturing discs used in small form factor hard drives that increase capacity by 800 to 1000%.

  • 4. Inserogen

    Production of biopharmaceuticals and vaccines in non-transgenic tobacco plants. This proprietary plant production technology platform offers significant advantages over traditional biotechnology production methods, such as: speed, cost-effectiveness, ease of scale-up, flexibility, and safety.

  • 5. Humphrey Stars

    Training young Entrepreneurs in East Africa on business building and transformation of innovative ideas into commercial ventures. School will also impart special skills e.g. computer use, special software on the general population around the school while allowing students from different countries to participate in exchange programs.

  • 6. Zens

    Zen's healthy fast food is a food chain modeled after McDonald's, which will try to deliver a standardized, low cal alternative to today's popular fast food chains. We will focused on vegetable based products and packaging and promote not only healthy food but a healthy environment.

  • 7. Praesidium Technologies

    We produce antibodies for the food safety industry, to detect and extract E. coli from contaminated foods.We take a customer-driven approach to design, select and test antibodies that better suit their needs than currently available antibodies.

  • 8. Launderease

    Launderease is a branded retail chain of self-serve laundromats including machine locking technology, digital currency payment, and robust machine-to-customer communications to make the experience more secure and convenient. Launderease’s unique business model and technological advantages allow for a significant improvement over traditional Laundromat revenue models by reducing losses and improving operating efficiency.

  • 9. Last Mile Designs

    Last Mile Designs develops, manufactures, and operates a network of self-service shipment pick up kiosks. An estimated 600,000 missed delivery notices are left on customers' doorsteps every year in San Francisco alone, and Last Mile Designs eliminates the failed delivery attempts by enabling customers to retrieve their online orders at self-service kiosks conveniently located through residential neighborhoods in densely populated urban areas.

  • 10. BioLactia

    BioLactia is a spin-off of the UC Davis Milk Bioactives Program, and will develop proprietary and clinically validated biotherapeutics to co-market globally with pharmaceutical companies. Our products will reduce costs of pediatric health care in hospitals and the elderly in long-term care facilities.

  • 11. Pedianostics

    Pedianostics is developing a rapid, non-invasive test to diagnose the gastrointestinal health of fragile infants for earlier and improved treatment. This revolutionary technology simply uses the baby’s stool, providing better alternative to existing risky medical procedures.
