  • 1. CONGRATUALATIONS AND GOOD LUCK SEMI-FINALISTS!

    The Big Bang! Planning Committee would like to thank all of the semi-finalists for their final business plan submissions. The plans are currently under review by our panel of judges and scores will be collected over the next week and a half. From the 17 semi-finalists teams, 5 finalists will continue on to the final event and compete for over $20,000 in prize money!!

    The final event will be held on May 20th 2009 between 5pm and 8pm on the UC Davis campus in the ARC ballroom. Be sure to mark your calendars now!

  • 2. Big Bang! Finalists Annouced May 2nd at ASM Fundraiser

    The Big Bang! community is cordially invited to participate in the 18th annual Associate Students of Management Golf Tournament Fundraiser on Saturday May 2nd at the Wildhorse Golf Course in Davis, CA. The ASM is the student body of the UC Davis Graduate School of Management that governs all of the GSM affiliated clubs, including the Big Bang!

    If golf is not your game, don't worry! Following the tournament there will be a wine reception, buffet dinner and networking event. A special note for this year is that 25% of the proceeds of the event will go directly to support the Big Bang! and during the event, the five 2009 Big Bang! finalists teams will publicly announced for the first time! In addition, this will be a great opportunity to meet and network with members of the GSM and Big Bang! communities.

  • 3. YOLO BUSINESS ASCENT BUSINESS COMPETITION

    Yolo Business Ascent Challenge is a regional contest to identify, educate and showcase innovative companies from the greater Yolo County region with the potential to become market-leading companies and create quality jobs for our community.

    Companies compete in a series of business challenges judged by private industry experts and icons, along with the audience at large, and winners receive a prize of cash/professional services and the opportunity to compete in the statewide California Business Ascent finals Nov. 2009.
