As you prepare for the UC Berkeley competition, we wanted to let you know of an additional resource, entrepreneurial best practice series, hosted form the UC Berkeley Lester Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation.
The Entrepreneurial Best Practices Series brings to UC Berkeley and the Haas School the best practitioners from the Berkeley and Silicon Valley community to speak about the practical aspects of entrepreneurial activity.
I, Donald Dean Carlson, local Berkeley entrepreneur, has an executive summary re. the building of 'New California Mission Cities'* 'The New League of California Cities'* = the initiation of a new business & economic environment for California. Suggestion: I will work with a team of students to adapt this concept to this year's upcoming bp compitition with all winnings going to the students & @the same time prepare for employment re. 'The Berkeley Incubabor Business-Center'* Bank, Berkeley branch... 'The California Securities Exchange'* Banks/ = private capitalization re. any and all competitions' bp to build new cities...

Mingle with students interested in the Business Plan Competition and Global Social Venture Competition to discuss your business ideas, learn about current projects, expand your entrepreneurial network, and meet potential teammates for the competitions. This event is free and pizza will be provided!
The William James Foundation has announced 8 competitions that together provide $100,000 in cash and in kind support for sustainable entrepreneurs. Entrants can be of any age or from anywhere in the world. First round deadline is December 4th. Details at: www.williamjamesfoundation.org/press.
