    Tina Seelig, Ph.D. is the Executive Director for the Stanford Technology Ventures Program where she is responsible for strategic planning, operations, and outreach efforts of STVP. In addition, Tina is the Director of the Stanford Entrepreneurship Network and the co-Director of the Mayfield Fellows Program. Tina's latest book, What I wish I knew when I was 20, provides insights on life, leadership, and the little things that make a big difference in an entrepreneurial setting.

    BASES Social-Entrepreneurship Challenge: FINAL ROUND!

    The BASES Social-E Challenge, one of the premier student-run social entrepreneurship business plan competitions in the country, will be hosting its final round event this Friday, May 29th at Stanford University. The event is free and open to the public for the first time in competition history. Our six finalist teams will present their ventures to a distinguished panel of judges. $50,000 will be awarded, with $25,000 going to the 1st place team. This is one of the strongest groups of finalists we have ever had (not to mention an incredible panel of esteemed judges), and all of us are eagerly looking forward to how the event unfolds.

    Rob Conybeer, Managing Director, Shasta Ventures
    Rob Coneybeer brings to Shasta Ventures deep experience in
    building early-stage companies. Prior to co-founding Shasta
    Ventures, he was a general partner at New Enterprise Associates
    (NEA) where he led 15 investments in core infrastructure
    technologies spanning semiconductors, software and networking
    equipment.

    Prior to joining the venture capital industry, Rob served as a
    lead integration and test engineer in the Astro Space division
