Formation of New Ventures GSB Course Information Session

In the spring quarter, the Business School will offer its foundational entrepreneurship course to non-GSB graduate students. The course will have two sections, each limited to 30 GSB and 30 non-GSB graduate students. S353 is for students who would like to understand what is involved in starting a new business and pursuing an entrepreneurial career. Topics include: how to identify and evolve a business idea; elements of a viable business model; staffing, financing and managing a new business; managing intellectual property; scaling a business; dealing with failure; gaining sales and distribution traction; and harvesting value. The course is taught primarily by the case method; visitors also will contribute to class discussions. The classes will be taught from an entrepreneur’s point of view rather than that of a passive investor or employee. The instructors and class examples will emphasize business issues faced by young science and technology companies.

The Sales VBEC Town Hall Meeting is a neutral forum for Sales
VPs in venture-backed companies to meet, share perspectives,

- The Sales Town Hall Meeting will bring together Sales VPs from

President and CEO of OfficePlease Inc., an intranet software
company and ASP and currently serves as the Chairman for the
