    Dear participants,

    Some of you have difficulties uploading 2nd round entries; here's how to do it: at this page, the Amsterdam Antwerp Challenge grouppage, you see the logo. Under the logo there are multiple options, one of them is 'Manage my entry'. Click manage my entry, delete your old 100 words entry and submit your 2nd round document. Don't forget to add the 2nd round Entry Form with your team members...

    My idea in 100 words:

    Urban Hunt is an event that uses mobile applications and geo-locative data to transform the city into a real-life video game. Each team works to solve “missions” (tasks and puzzles) as they race against the clock. The team that completes the most missions and uploads a picture from each mission to their Facebook New Feed wins an amazing 2000 € cash!

    Urban Hunt exhibits huge incentives for advertisers. For example, Burger King can sponsor a mission and have players experience a menu item (and because the photos are uploaded to Facebook, Burger King’s image is spread to the player’s friends).

    Globally 18000 billion bottles of distilled alcohol are sold yearly. The global perfume market entails more than 30 billion dollars. In both of these enormous markets there is an eminent problem, namely counterfeiting of branded products. Due to counterfeiting, alcohol and fragrance producers lose income and their valuable brand reputation is damaged. Current anti-counterfeit devices cannot tackle this problem effectively. What is needed is an optical sensor that shows by means of color change that something else than the original product is in the bottle. Our patented polymer sensor technology could produce these printed, optical sensors.

    More than 500 million people suffer from Diabetes. When their insulin levels are low, there isn’t enough glucose for the body, in which your body will burn fat for energy. One breakdown product of this process is acetone, which is noticeable in the patients breathe. Diabetics currently use invasive techniques to measure their glucose levels. Since these measures are not desirable, a non invasive measure is more than welcome. The acetone produced can be measures with an optic sensor by using an apparatus in which the patient breathes. Our patented polymer sensor technology could produce these printed, optical sensors.
