I was delighted to hear of the very positive outcomes of the recent AIN meeting in Addis including a new draft action plan, the election of Michael Reddy and Julie Momah as leads for the network, and the contributions of both Michael Reddy and Chris Vermuelen's organizations towards the network.
Valerie and I look forward to seeing you all at the up-coming Africa Business Incubation conference in Durban, March 17-19. We would like to invite you to an AIN meeting on March 16th at 20:30 where we look forward to hearing your action plan and to discuss what is on infoDev's agenda for Africa in the coming year.
For example, we will be holding a training for incubation managers and shareholders, an access to finance event, and a southern Africa policymaker workshop. InfoDev will also be launching a regional m-apps lab designed to promote mobile-apps entrepreneurs, and we will be examining the potential for agribusiness incubation in four African countries, as well as take a look at what could potentially be a good agribusiness incubation model in the African context.
In each case, we will be looking for partners who would like to host, contribute their thinking or lessons, etc. We would therefore like to hear from those of you interested in partnering on some of these work program areas coming up.
We are sorting out a meeting room for the AIN meeting on March 16th and will send this to you shortly.
Best regards,
Ellen
